In The Name of Distance

So here's a thing about high-school farewell. You befriend with people you're comfortable with, then just when it gets more comfortable, there's one thing ruining it called graduation.

There's nothing wrong with graduation, isn't it? Because everything has it's own due date, it's own consequences. I spent 3 years in high-school and I think it's enough (i'm freeeeee from school, but then there's college, which is pretty much harder tho..) for academic thingy or anything formal. And about friends.....I won't say it's not enough time, but I'll miss the memories I experienced with them.

And what if you just 'found' someone who actually has pretty much the same idea and mind as you at the last semester before graduation? And that someone happen to be one of the people who understand you so much? That happens to me.

Her name is Lestari and she's a Libra. She prefer vegetables to meats, which makes her wants to be a vege. She has an entrepreneur mind and soul. And she's one of the sincerest person I've known. The last semester going on like hell to me and she's there to accompany me through all of it, which I really thankful for her to be there when I need her.

Actually I am in the same class as her since grade 10, but somehow we never talk much back then. We actually become close by random coincidence. It's when I randomly sit across to her because everyone's crowding and talking and making a lot of chaos and I don't feel like talking much so I went off from the crowd. She's sitting in the back of the classroom alone and busy with her works (I don't remember what she's doing back then tho). We talked a bit and I found out she has exactly the same idea as mine. We both surprised and since that we become close.

The last semester going so fast eversince then. I got accepted in university at Yogyakarta and she wants to go back to her hometown in Medan. I know right, different island will cost a lot of money (airplane ticket, etc) to meet up. We met a few times before she left to Medan and it was really sad tho, because I just 'know' her for a few months only. I cannot put it into the right words, so I'll just share our photos we took a few days before she left, here it is:

So I guess I'll see you around then..
Maybe not soon, but eventually. We'll still keep in touch, 'kay?
Ciao x

So This Is How It Ends

My class, Clarity, 12 Science One, with the room teacher, Mrs. Dewi. (For the not-so-important information, I am the one standing in purple kebaya with red rose in my hand).

Has anyone told you that life goes super fast like a lightning bolt (as if I already seen it)? It goes by so fast and leave us captivated by its lingering flashy light and might take us some time to adjust. By adjusting I mean adapting. And adapting is sure hella tough (or is it only for me?). New environment with new faces and new different types of people. I will sure gonna fit in, but yeah it takes some time.

High school was no different than middle school. I mean the difference would be the age and maybe we might get more ‘mature’. Oh, and the appereance might get a little (or more?) touch, because you know, it’s teenage life, duh. I got into this class where all the intellegent people gathered here. And you can imagine how I was just sitting there watching my friends studying and planning their future in one perfect scenario while I can’t even decide what I want for lunch. Though a bit lost in the educational program, I found out that high school was cool (I ain’t cool tho). Yeah, high school was fun, because my friends make it to be fun, uh yeah, it’s because of my friends made my high school memories are worth the memory (is this even the right sentence...but you get the point).  I love the thrill of getting into a problem, panic because of upcoming test, leaving the class earlier (because i can take it no longer, school sucks!), and many more. But the most important thing is about friendship (and preparing for university, actually).

You know the saying, “you don’t know the value of something ‘till it’s gone”? I realized it just before the school ends. It’s not that I didn’t value it but if I had realized it earlier I would appreciate it even more. I haven’t start college, so I can’t compare both. But I think it will be a whole new world, isn’t it? No more anything that you can do it in the class in high school (mention some, I don’t have anything in mind right now). And then, you will be treated as an adult. But that’s okay, I have no problem being treated as adult. What I am curious about is how can we go on with the lingering memories? (Of course we can *yeah*). I mean we just had great years (uh, not so great) of high school times, then boom, you have to graduate and go to university and make a living. Why can’t good times last? (Because life don’t stop for anybody, duh). What’s with goodbyes? It’s cliche, but I kept thinking (Me thinking deep at last, since forever, thank God).

I don’t want to be more melancholic than this, so why don’t we just skip it to the beat (yeah). No, I mean I’ll share some photos from the farewell and the yearbook. And no, my high school times aren’t like high school musical at all (I don’t even like that movie).

Senior Post (As If Being A Senior Means A Thing)

I am listening to this song all day long and thought this song fit the 'senior year' mood.
