CATATAN PERJALANAN: Biochemistry of Mangunan

I've always love to go seeking new places just to feel a different atmosphere.
Fresh air, breathtaking view.
It's totally worth the journey.

You see, I am easily bored by a constant routines. (I can't believe I say that again, I feel like it's my 100 times saying that I get bored easily, ok get the point!) And there are many many ways to get distracted though. Lets say go find a hobby, go get some fresh air, go get someone to talk to. And I choose the second option for my recent escape route with no reason. Well maybe next time I'll go find a new hobby, but hey, writing a blog should categorised as one, don't you think? Well yeah, maybe next time. #WhyAmIThisLazy

Since I lived at Yogyakarta, there are many many great places offering beautiful view here. Kulonprogo, Gunungkidul, Bantul, etc. These are the region with a great opportunity becoming the face of Yogyakarta for tourist destination (no, I am not majoring tourism for college, lol). Too bad the road to most of the place are rough and steep.

Nevertheless, personally I love challenge and I believe the best part of a destination is the journey. So I somehow enjoy the ride to these place.

I went to Mangunan, Bantul the other day. Bukit Panguk Kediwung and Hutan Pinus Imogiri to be exact. It was after biochemistry class on Friday and we decided to 'look for' some fresh air. We search for the place on Instagram and we Google Map-ed it so we know the road going there. And by 'we' I mean Tamara, Ummul, and I, the explorer (?) of the day. So, it took approximately an hour from Universitas Gadjah Mada to there by motorcycle. I don't know if the road can be passed by car or not because it was very rough and steep, oh and narrow also.

First destination was Bukit Panguk Kediwung and we welcomed by the breathtaking view of the nature. Here's the picture if you might wonder how great it is (pardon my 'ngangkang' pose wkwk):

After we took tons of photos there and enjoying the sound of the nature (damn this feels deep), we move over to the second destination, it is the well-known Hutan Pinus Imogiri, which is not far from our former destination.

Since the recent tourist destination trend at Yogyakarta is the phenomenal and famous Hutan Pinus Imogiri, it deserves to be called as '#1 Yogyakarta 2016 Destination' because it was more than just fine. It was captivating and beautiful. People usually rent a hammock and hook it between two trees and just enjoying the view. Because of low-budget, we decided to choose food instead of renting hammock :)))

The fun fact is, we only sleep for two hours that day doing 'laprak'. Confused why are we choose to strolling around instead of sleep? Truth to be told: 1. We are getting used to few hours of sleep, and 2. We need vacation, man!

So long to my next exploring posts!
